ASM/NDDS, a national due diligences services provider, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Zoning Report Writer. Under the direction of the Zoning Account Managers, this is a technical position that will primarily focus on
(i) analyzing zoning codes/ordinances and site-specific documentation obtained from public records searches from municipalities across the nation, and
(ii) compiling, writing and editing Zoning Reports.
Report assignments require exercising independent professional judgement based upon prior experience, relevant data, and municipal communication. All work is reviewed by the assigned Account Manager and performance is reviewed through accuracy, time management, and product quality.
This is not a remote position. We are looking for a full-time candidate in our main office located in Maitland, FL.
ASM/NDDS is in growth mode and is highly interested in candidates who are desirous of developing their career with us and advancing within the company.
Essential Functions:
-Review and analyze Zoning/Land Use Codes, municipal approvals, development documents, Title Commitments, and other relevant documentation affecting title to property.
-Prepare technical reports to determine the zoning compliance of commercial properties within each jurisdiction.
-Incorporate data, measurements, and other relevant quantitative data into such reports obtained from ALTA surveys, site plans, construction drawings, and plats.
-Assist the Zoning Account Managers with communications from clients with respect to prepared zoning reports.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Position requires contact with various municipalities, planners and attorneys, as well as coordination with fellow staff of different in-house departments.
-Research and computer skills. The ability to navigate online municipal websites to retrieve zoning maps, zoning regulations, and related data is required.
-Highly organized and able to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision and tight deadlines and high volume of projects.
Education & Experience:
-Associates degree (minimum)
-Related technical experience in customer service, real estate land use, zoning, or planning preferred, but not required.
-An equivalent combination of education and/or technical experience will be considered.

Pay: starting at $25.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
