What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Specialist position at American Tax Company?
The Business Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office and assisting in the administrative functions of the company as well as independently providing accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping support to clients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
- 2 years of QuickBooks experience required (unless in college).
- Can be flexible with schedule for a candidate in school. Requires a 3.5GPA and reference from previous or current professor.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls, provide information to callers.
- Organize and schedule appointments.
- Provide information to clients.
- Independently prepare, review, and finalize Business Client records & financial statements and/or payroll.
- Other duties as assigned

The agreed upon schedule can be flexible, so long as majority of the hours worked are during office hours to assist our business clients.
