Job Summary:
The RFID Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting the deployment, optimization, and ongoing management of RFID tracking systems across American Textile Maintenance’s industrial laundry and textile rental operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient tracking of rental items and will involve hands-on work with RFID tags, readers, and related technology. The Specialist will collaborate closely with plant teams to maintain high standards of operational accuracy, training, and system performance.
Job Description:
• Implementation Support:
Assist in deploying RFID tags, readers, and software across laundry facilities and customer rental items to ensure seamless tracking and data collection.
• Hardware Setup & Maintenance:
Help install, test, and troubleshoot RFID readers, portals, and handheld devices, ensuring proper functioning of all equipment.
• Operational Collaboration:
Work closely with plant teams to support day-to-day RFID operations, providing guidance on consistent tagging practices and process optimization. This may focus on the software side of the process
• Training & Documentation:
Assist in creating training materials and support the training of operators and maintenance teams on RFID systems, usage, and troubleshooting.
• Inventory & Data Accuracy:
Monitor RFID read rates and tag integrity, ensuring that data flows accurately into inventory and customer systems to maintain high operational standards.
• Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on RFID trends, vendor tools, and best practices, contributing insights and fresh ideas to enhance system performance.
• Other Software-Related Projects:
Support software-related initiatives as required, especially those related to RFID integration and system improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3 years of experience required with RFID technology, barcode systems, or other industrial tracking systems.
• Strong technical aptitude and curiosity about industrial RFID applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work hands-on with technology.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with Excel and basic data analysis; experience with Power BI or enterprise systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and travel to multiple locations across the Southern California area.
Requirements:
Education:
Preferred:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, etc.).
Skills:
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills related to RFID hardware and software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
• Basic understanding of data systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to train and support teams in RFID technology and operations.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical:
• Ability to stand for long periods as needed during fieldwork.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds (tools, devices, etc.).
• Exposure to various environmental conditions, including different temperatures, humidity, and facility conditions.
