Inside Sales Representatives work closely with the Outside Sales Team, along with the Sales & Marketing Data Analyst and the Inbound Sales Team, to identify and generate quotes for sales opportunities. Beyond quote generation, Inside Sales Representatives follow up on open quotes, prospect for new sales opportunities, process sales orders, and partner with Outside Sales Team members to field customer inquiries. Inside Sales Representatives are an integral part of the Sales Team and provide valuable insight to the team on selling strategies and tactics, given their continual exposure to sales opportunities, our customers, and the competitive forces in the market.

- Work with Outside Sales, the Sales & Marketing Data Analyst, and customers to identify quoting opportunities and the requirements for those opportunities, with the goal of delivering accurate and effective quotes that will result in revenue generation.
- Meet or exceed daily outbound prospecting call expectations.
- Gather information from external customers as needed to process sales orders and create and submit orders for processing.
- Monitor and track orders through the manufacturing process and communicate necessary schedule and other pertinent information to external customers.
- Create Field Test Unit (FTU) orders, monitor and track FTU status, and follow up as necessary to complete the FTU process.
- Collaborate and strategize with the Outside Sales Team to determine best solutions for individual opportunities.
- Provide backup to the Sales Operations Specialist in processing and maintaining the FCC protocol for assigning wireless system frequency.
- Work with Outside Sales to create a back-up system to ensure follow-up with customers is executed when Outside Sales is unavailable.
- Consult with customers and advise them on the best product solution based on customers’ needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Work with Outside Sales and Sales Management to negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements.
- Provide ongoing service to established accounts.
- Report market and competitive information, conditions, and news.
- Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
- Develop working relationships with contractors to improve the likelihood of success in competitive bidding situations.
- Evaluate strength of partnerships, recommending new contractors, as needed.
- Meet budgeted sales goal/quota for assigned region.
- Increase sales and grow profitability by finding and developing new customers, as well as expand new technology choices within our current customer base.
- Exceed weekly and monthly activity metrics.
- Maintain customer records, using automated ERP and CRM systems.
