New Hire Bonus Program:
ATI is offering a sign-on Bonus program for this position.
The full bonus amount is $2,500 - to be paid out quarterly
1st qtr of employment is 15% of bonus total
2nd qtr of employment is 20% of bonus total
3rd qtr of employment is 25% of bonus total
4th qtr of employment is 40% of bonus total
To qualify for each qtr, new hire must be in good standing with no attendance points.
The Technical Specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimum performance of the machines, quality machine outputs and maximum productivity outputs both on a daily and long-term basis in line with our company’s standards and customer requirements. This person is the subject matter expert on machine related issues.
The Technical Specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimum performance of the machines in safe manner with additional emphasis on quality, customer service and cost effectiveness.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Lead with model adult behavior in driving safety, quality, customer satisfaction and process improvement on the production floor
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Participating in the daily and weekly production meeting, including data analysis and reporting
- Participate in product development activities (trials, machine capability discussions etc)
- Active recommendation and participation in the development of operators
- Coach/mentor/train production and maintenance personnel
- Active participation in the optimal layout of the production
- Knowledge of each SKU run-ability and capability
- Participate in department and mill meetings
- Lead expert optimal equipment changeover
- Identify and ensure the resolution of process nuisances
- Production lead on shift for on-time preventative maintenance on the machine
- Communicate production issues to appropriate personnel (follow up verbally/email)
- Conduit for all historical operational issues and advising
- Escalate machine issues to maintenance, engineering and managers when appropriate
- Prepares presentations for production if needed
- On-call or call-in work, as required
- Other duties as requested
Collaborate with Converting Operators, Production Supervisors, Production Manager, Production Admin, Maintenance, Engineers, Quality Assurance, Maintenance Planner and project teams as appropriate.
Desired Candidates Must Possess the Following:
- Possess detailed knowledge of the converting process
- Ability to demonstrate punctuality, decisiveness, and maturity in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work with little supervision and organize multiple priorities and work deadlines
- Possess determination, flexibility, ability to accommodate the needs/ideas of others
- Maintain a calm demeanor under pressure
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and employment verification.
Education and Experience Background:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading/writing English
- Basic computer skills.
- At least 3 years technical experience with converting machine operations in a manufacturing environment
Skills and Knowledge:
- Technical knowledge of convertingmachine operations in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient written and oral skills
- Ability to train others
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background.
