Job Summary:
American Tool & Die is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with ISO standards and AC7004 NadCap Certification. Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Testing:
- Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to verify product quality.
- Document inspection results and communicate findings to relevant departments.
Quality Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and complete quality records, inspection reports, and certifications.
- Support the development and maintenance of quality assurance documentation in compliance with ISO and AC7004 NadCap standards.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining quality control documentation for audits.
Process Audits and Compliance:
- Conduct internal process audits to ensure adherence to quality procedures and standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conformances.
- Work with production teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to management on quality issues and improvements.
Communication:
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and management teams to ensure quality standards are understood and met.
- Engage with customers, vendors, and auditors with professionalism and a solutions-focused attitude.
Maintaining a Clean Work Area:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection and work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Material Handling:
- Safely handle parts and materials as needed for inspection and quality checks.
- Assist with packing and preparing certified materials for shipment when required.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in ISO Quality Management Systems and AC7004 NadCap Certification requirements is required.
- Proficiency with measurement tools and quality inspection techniques.
- Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably metals or precision parts.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and audit procedures.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality Control environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supervisory position.
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday, 10-hour shifts
- Overtime as needed
