What are the responsibilities and job description for the MANAGER FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS position at American Tower?
We are seeking a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to join American Towers Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The FP&A team partners with internal stakeholders to provide actionable analyses and recommendations driven by detailed analytics. As a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, you will build relationships with key stakeholders and establish yourself as a finance business partner to U.S. Tower leadership. More specifically, you will manage a team that provides robust support for our Operational capital expenditure and R&M strategies, while maintaining and enhancing the related spending control processes.
- What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelors degree required. Masters Degree / MBA a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive finance experience is required, such as reporting, planning, advanced analytics and complex predictive modeling
- Proficiency with multi-dimensional reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. Essbase / Adaptive Planning / Anaplan, Tableau / PowerBI / OAS) is required
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

- Responsible for the preparation of all budgets, forecasts and long term strategic plans
- Evaluates controls, identifies and controls gaps, and prepares and reviews narrative and templates as necessary.
- Prepares periodic in-depth financial reports evaluating and interpreting the company's financial performance to support the Company's financial objectives
- Prepare and deliver a comprehensive monthly financial presentation to executive audience for capital spending.
- Manages the financial planning and analysis activities providing oversight support, mentoring team members, and collaborating to develop objectives and goals.
- Provides leadership, coaching and development plans for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce.
- Partner with management groups to facilitate effective capital spending management and approval processes.
- Leads as the subject matter expert from finance on Capital approval related IT development projects and design of budgeting / forecast systems; manage business partner and stakeholder requirements.
