Employment Services Specialist
American Training Center – Cherry Hill, NJ

Position Summary
The Employment Services Specialist is a key member of our student support team, focused on providing career readiness and job placement support for our graduates and alumni. This role combines one-on-one guidance with group presentations, employer outreach, and administrative tasks to ensure students are prepared to successfully enter the workforce—particularly in entry-level healthcare roles across South Jersey and the Philadelphia region.
The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others succeed, highly organized, and skilled in job readiness coaching, resume writing, and employer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized career coaching to students and graduates, including resume development, job search strategies, interview preparation, and professionalism in the workplace.
- Deliver engaging group presentations and workshops to student cohorts on job readiness topics.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the job market and employment trends in South Jersey and Philadelphia, especially for entry-level healthcare roles.
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities for graduates.
- Track job placement outcomes and assist in reporting graduate employment data.
- Manage and update spreadsheets and other tracking tools to monitor student progress and job placement activities.
- Coordinate job fairs, employer spotlights, and alumni networking events.
- Collaborate with instructors and staff to support students throughout their job search journey.
- Utilize technology systems for scheduling, communication, and tracking student interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service and develop strong rapport with students and alumni.
Qualifications
- Experience in career services, workforce development, recruiting, or related field.
- Knowledge of job search processes, resume development, and interview techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and technology skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets).
- Comfort and confidence speaking to groups and presenting workshops.
- Ability to learn and understand the local job market, especially in healthcare support roles.
- Self-starter who is dependable, empathetic, and resourceful.
- Experience working with diverse populations or in education is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (Daytime: 8:30-4:30)
- Two evenings per month
- Occasional weekend for events

Pay: $52,780.00 - $54,643.00 per year
