An exciting opportunity to join our creative, energetic, dedicated team of professionals! LARE Institute at American Training is seeking a Full-time Job Developer for our Chelsea location. Demonstrates an obvious passion for the people we serve and puts WOW! Magic into action. This is a full-time position, M-F, 8-4:30 pm.

- Overall Placement Goal: Place 80-85% of our LARE students into employment per year. Monthly breakdown: Place a minimum of 4 students per month.
- Provides scheduled, individual job search/vocational counseling meetings with all LARE Students to develop relationships, review interviewing questions, conduct mock interviews, complete & send applications, amend resumes etc. with Students.
- Prepares and delivers weekly workshops in the following key areas of professional etiquette, career planning & decision making, resume writing & interviewing, life/work management skills, work maturity skills, job search skills. Each program has 2 workshops per month. Workshop schedule to be coordinated with the instructors and sent out to all LARE Colleagues as consistent outlook reminders.
- Completes Students' files including individual job search counseling notes and any supportive service requests.
- Participates in student/teacher/case manager meetings and completes documentation as needed.
- Conducts community outreach with various community organizations.
- Make presentations at community agencies and attends networking events, i.e., Chamber of Commerce events, MassHire Events, and/or any additional community events that we learn about for the purposes of networking on behalf of LARE Institute. Also, accompany student groups to local individual company hiring events. Provides tours of facility to community agencies and business community.
- Make referrals to outside community agencies for Students in need of in-depth counseling.
- Conducts follow-up calls, texts & emails to Students & graduates on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Provides systematic high quality job development and placement services to graduating students.
- Develops new employment contacts, at least 2 per program each month, and maintains current employer relationships.
- Invites & tracks all Alumni and Advisory Board members to 2 functions each per year.
- Arrange job shadows, if applicable.
- Acts as a community liaison with businesses to build a “trust-relationship” for the future.
- Obtains support letters from the private and public sector when necessary.
- Coordinates 2 Employer guest lectures per program each month.
- Updates and maintains job postings and company resource material.
- Works closely with the funding sources/Case Managers/FEW Workers/SSS Workers and attends funding source meetings when necessary.
- Performs all CIES Billing services as contracted, maintain & submit all C3 & C3B components and request all authorizations for YPP students transferring to CIES.
- Assists Program Director in any assigned task.
- Participate in WOW! MAGIC event by taking an active role in coordinating/implementing WOW! MAGIC Events: Deep commitment to working as part of a skilled team and a true passion for LARE students to ensure that they are receiving quality services while incorporating our WOW! MAGIC philosophy.
- Always demonstrates a professional image and attitude.
- Ensures Students adhere to guidelines set forth in program handbook.
- Assists with proposal preparation, if needed.
- Occasional overtime hours required.
- Ability to speak publicly regarding LARE Institute in a knowledgeable way.
- Ability to organize and schedule responsibilities according to priority.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or at least two years previous related experience.
- One year of related business or counseling experience working with the public and/or private sector. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
