Youll use your associates degree in civil or mechanical engineering technology to assist Design Engineers in completion of design engineering work and apply ATC design standards in support of implementation of transmission line projects. Along with the Design Engineers, youll perform site walk downs, and confer with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that design activities are customer focused, results oriented and performance driven.
Youll use your experience in computer aided design to complete complex drawing packages, such as plan and profiles, structure and assembly details and foundation plans independently from sketches provided by others. If youve never designed transmission lines, we will teach you! In addition, youll review and procure existing asset records and drawings from the ATC records storage systems for use in design projects and prepare construction documents and drawings to support Construction, and other ATC department activities.
