ATC employees enjoy flexible schedules and ATC is recognized as an industry leader in adopting new technologies and types of reliability analysis, such as electromagnetic transient analysis, to assure the reliable transition to sustainable resources. Youll use your bachelors or advanced degree in electrical engineering (or related degree) and / or experience in transmission system planning to help new resources and loads connect to the system by coordinating with interconnection customers, validating modeling data, forecasting transmission system issues, and collaborating on solutions to optimize transmission system reliability and efficiency.
In addition to the previously described job duties, this position will have a focus on modeling of the transmission system for system planning purposes. This will include, but is not limited to, creation and maintenance of steady state models and associated contingency files, project files, and management of relevant data for the equipment being modeled. This also includes working within the modeling policies and processes of ATC and our key modeling stakeholders such as MISO and the MMWG.
