Job Description:
MRI Techs perform medical testing by taking 3D images of the patient's body using computerized MRI scanners. They explain the testing process to patients, prepare them for examinations, adjust software, record images, and hand over results to physicians. They also help position disabled patients and maintain MRI instruments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1 year of recent experience in the setting
- Valid professional license or registration if required by the state
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA recommended and may be required
- Valid ARRT or ARDMS Credentials per discipline
- Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required
