Job Responsibilities :
Cat Scan Technologists are generally certified radiologic technologists. They operate the CT equipment to create diagnostic images of the interior parts of the human body. They prepare the patient for the diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient accurately, and as instructed by the physician. The Cat Scan Tech is also responsible for maintaining the Cat Scan equipment. They help the physician in reading the images of the patients and in analysing the patient's condition. Most travel Cat Scan Tech positions are on hospital premises.
Job Qualifications :
- 1 year of recent experience in this setting
- Valid professional license or registration if required by this state
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA recommended and may be required
- Valid ARRT or ARDMS Credentials per your discipline
- Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required
- Professional References
