Light Duty Diesel Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in vehicle maintenance, particularly with diesel engines. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and performance of customers vehicles, which includes light duty diesel pickups (we do not work on tractor-trailers) The Diesel Technician will work in a hands-on environment, diagnosing issues and performing repairs to keep our operations running smoothly. Please note this is not an entry level position, you must have proven experience working on diesel engines.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Maintain and repair pickups to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles while also diagnosing customer concerns.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed for repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Execute automotive repair tasks, including welding and fabrication when necessary.
• Transmit repair findings and recommendations to management for further action.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair, with focus on diesel pickups.
• Familiarity with Duramax, Powerstorke and Cummins motors of all years.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques, diagnoisis steps.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel technology are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
