The American Trucking Associations (ATA) is seeking a highly qualified and strategic leader to join our team as the Vice President, Finance & Accounting (VP) . The VP will lead the Finance & Accounting department, supervising all financial activities of ATA and collaborating closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams. This is a critical role focused on providing financial direction, ensuring transparency, and supporting ATA’s mission and vision. The VP will manage the fiscal functions of the association in accordance with GAAP, regulations, and best practices for non-profit trade associations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Management :
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and tax reporting.
Collaborate with ATA’s leadership team to analyze financial data, identify trends, and contribute to organizational decision-making.
Recommend financial goals and strategies, including capital forecasts and staffing requirements.
Streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiencies.
Oversee the preparation and execution of annual budgets.
Develop and execute strategies to optimize revenue from ATA's events, conventions, and product sales.
Oversee insurance coverages to mitigate financial risk.
Oversee ATA’s financial and real estate assets, ensuring proper management and maximizing returns.
Collaborate with internal departments to meet objectives for membership dues and non-dues revenue.
Present financial reports, trends, and forecasts to ATA's Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounting team.
Qualifications :
Minimum 10 years of experience in finance or accounting.
