Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and coordinators to develop project schedules and budgets.
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to create accurate bids.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for estimates.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and correspondence related to projects.
- Assist in the preparation of bid documents and presentations for clients.
- Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools for project planning.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles, project coordination, and scheduling techniques.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
