What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Architect position at American Unit, Inc?
Position Details:
- Contract Term: 03/03/2025 - 6/30/2025, with possible renewal based on performance, need, and budget availability.
- Location: The candidate must reside in Tallahassee, FL, and be available to work onsite 5 days a week.
- Work Hours: Flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM; after hours, weekends, and on-call work as part of the schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, administer, test, and modify virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 environments, multi-cloud environments, and identity platforms.
- Architect and manage cloud services, including Microsoft Azure, and other cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Lead and coordinate various technology initiatives across infrastructure, applications, data management, cybersecurity, and more.
- Automate processes, manage Azure DevOps projects, and troubleshoot issues.
- Present findings and innovations to peers and leadership.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Microsoft Azure Cloud Systems Architect.
- 2-3 years of experience with other cloud providers (AWS/GCP).
- 5-8 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in administering Microsoft software, middleware, and enterprise architecture.
- Proficiency in managing, deploying, and automating solutions on Microsoft Azure and Power Platform.
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure Services, Microsoft Server products, Power Platform, Linux administration, and system hosting solutions.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
