Job Description
Network Engineer:
The Client is looking for a Network Engineer for one of their top telecommunication clients. This is going to be a long-term contract located in Cheyenne, WY.
This position will support their Open RAN Center for Integration and Deployment (ORCID), serving a critical role in strengthening the global Open RAN ecosystem and building the next generation of wireless networks. We are seeking a Senior Lab Network Engineer to design and engineer scalable network systems for their ORCID lab. The successful candidate will evaluate, test, select, and deploy foundational network elements, providing advanced technical guidance for complex projects, including upgrades to mission-critical network devices and services.
Network Engineer Requirements:
- 7-10 years in service provider IP routing (MPLS, segment routing, BGP, IS-IS) and high availability configurations
- Expertise in designing networks from scratch
- Networking testing and validation
- Troubleshooting expertise in layers 2-5
Nice to Have Skills:
- CCIE
- Rack and stack experience
Network Engineer Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot technical issues related to cell site routers, on-prem devices, and AWS
- Design, provisioning, deployment, configuration, and administration of lab network hardware and software
- Define and execute test plans to ensure the optimal performance of the 5G ORAN Lab network
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for ORAN architectures, designs, and configurations
- Mentor the junior engineers and help develop standard/best practices that will also carry over into the production network
Salary : $50 - $52
