Notes:

*As a network and infra management position with on call and escalations. 400 locations to manage– managing the team (remote and onsite), furthest Celina.

There are 15 people on both teams in total (between server, storage & network team). A plus if you have familiarity with data center moves/upgrade builds (10Gig networks currently but building out bigger ones) background and managing complex projects, vendor/supplier project management. Experience with networking, leading and management experience. You will be hands-on, lead / manage teams, work with two other managers, and supervise vendors, etc.

• Network Manager – 3 yrs experience with management of networking teams, 7 overall years of Network experience must include as a Senior Engineer/Architect
• Certifications expected (current or expired) CCNA, CCNE, ITIL
• Managed teams of varying levels (skillsets/education/knowledge)
• Managed or led teams of 7 members or greater

Experience with:

• Cisco switches/routers – Required at a very high level of understanding and ability to configure
• Palo Alto Firewalls – operational experience and understanding
• F5 – Operational experience and understanding
• SDWAN – Working knowledge and experience managing a network with SDWAN as part of environment
• Working knowledge of Cisco Wireless Networks (Controllers, WAPs, Consoles)
• Working knowledge of Cisco ISE
• Knowledge of routing protocols and implementation methods
• Networking Environment: Cisco, 7-layer, firewall/routing, network arch/traffic.
• Infrastructure: Storage/nas/san, WAN, SD-Wan, virtual, VMware, VPN config, fiber connect.
• Supporting CISCO (switches, routers, wireless access points), cabling/wireless.
• Understand the engineering from the network prospective. ATT manages the network so they will perform the intricate stuff

Job Description

The Network Manager manages, oversees, and provides oversight for the development, coordination, implementation, and completion of the Information Technology resources, equipment, configuration, instrumentation, and operation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security.
• Develop and implement IT governance policies to align with business objectives.
• Identifies needed areas of change and makes recommendations to improve operations; directs, supervises, and manages others to implement corrective action.
• Collaborate with vendors for network equipment procurement and management.
• Provide remote access solutions for employees while ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Analyze network performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
• Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Ability to manage Information Technology & Network activities to ensure effective operations.
• Ability to supervise and manage a staff, assign work, and give performance feedback.
• Experience managing 3rd party vendors, and work site inspections
• Monitoring network performance to identify potential problems and help ensure high performance levels
• Ability to devise solutions to administrative problems and to plan, assigns, and/or supervises the work of others.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Education and Experience

• Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check upon hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 8 years of experience in information technology, Network Administration/Engineering
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a management position/ leading and mentoring a team
• Experience in Government and /or Public Sector (City, State, County, Higher Education/K-12) industries
