What are the responsibilities and job description for the SOC Technical Writer position at American Unit, Inc?
Position Overview:
The primary goal of this role is to provide technical writing support, standardize documentation, and offer business support across the SOC. The focus areas include but are not limited to:
- Development and standardization of key artifacts such as Computer Security Incident Response Plans (CSIRP), SOC Incident Playbooks, and RACI grids.
- Assisting in defining and measuring SOC Service Level Agreements (SLA), MOUs, and MOAs.
- Analyzing business processes and creating functional specifications.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a technical writer in a SOC environment (minimum 2 years).
- Proven ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency in project management, conflict resolution, and incident escalation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
