The Payroll Rep's primary responsibilities include processing and administration of OneAmerica Financial enterprise payroll time and attendance, as well as serving as a front-line service center resource addressing inquiries from associates, retirees and external organizations. Payroll responsibilities require a commitment to excellence as well as personal integrity, strong attention to detail, and exemplary organizational skills. This role works closely with HR team members in Associate Relations, Total Rewards, HRIS, and the HR Service Center. There may also be project initiatives in which this position will take on key responsibilities.
What you will do :
- Process and administer the bi-weekly associate and monthly retiree payrolls.
- Serve as primary contact for all system-related payroll questions, service tickets, as well as review and audit data affecting payroll, such as, sales bonus, benefit changes, data changes, pay increases, and other payroll changes.
- Coordinate with Finance all payroll tax related activities to ensure the accurate and timely administration of all federal, state, and local withholdings, remittances, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Process and maintain employee garnishments as well as remit garnishment payments.
- Serve as secondary contact for all Kronos-related time and attendance questions, service tickets, as well as review and approve time files for import for biweekly payroll process and assist Associate Relations and Managers with questions regarding occurrences.
- Review, approve and enter changes for new hires, data changes, termination workflow process in the system from Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Leaders.
- Complete the payroll review process regularly and routine audits after each pay cycle.
- Support the team with annual financial and payroll audits, as required.
- Understand the system, processes and inter-dependency with other support area processes and needs.
- Consistently follow, and improve where necessary, policies and procedures.
- Exhibit an unwavering degree of integrity and care relating to the protection of personal / confidential data and information with a sense of urgency for timeliness and accuracy.
- Demonstrate control-mindedness through regular and thorough balancing, validation, cross-checking, reconciliation, and review of payroll data.
- Follow guidelines with documenting any / all exceptions for internal control reporting, as well as maintain other correspondence for internal or external compliance requirements.
- Apply corporate policies and procedures for time and attendance including and not limited to leave management, time entry by associates and leaders, and insure time sheets are accurate and complete for payroll.

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in IN as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
