Summary / Objective : The Senior IT Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for managing the successful deployment and implementation of customer contract deliverables using both agile and traditional project management methodologies for the Office of Information Technology (OIT). This individual will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating project activities from initiation through delivery to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with guidelines, best practices, and standards established by the Project Management Office (PMO). The PM will coordinate agile development teams, ensuring all activities use the principles of the Scrum and / or Kanban Framework and actively identifies and removes impediments to ensure that assigned sprints and projects are completed on time. Tracks and reports daily schedules. The PM will work closely with analysts, developers, change management professionals, subject matter experts, internal project champions, campus stakeholders, and third-party vendors in planning, coordinating, executing, testing, and supporting campus technology projects and initiatives. The PM will provide routine status reporting to executive leadership / project owners as well as maintain all project artifacts such as project plans, RAID logs, and stories. The PM will apply project management, organizational development and change management knowledge to lead and implement IT technical and business solutions to successfully achieve desired business outcomes for the University.The Senior IT Project Manager will also participate in strategy-related activities as part of the PMO, such as roadmap creation, program development / management, and roadmap reporting.This position will interact with IT staff in various departments, as well as key senior leadership across different staff and academic units. - Manage technology projects with departmental or cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with PMO guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Plan, coordinate and track project schedules, budgets, governance, requirements, resources and deliverables.
- Oversee projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring milestones are met, resources are onboarded, and requirements are traceable.
- Oversee budget management including invoice payments, project financials, and burndown.
- Define project goals, scope, requirements, priorities, constraints, and assumptions in collaboration with project sponsors and key stakeholders and establish how project success metrics.
- Develop detailed project plans that incorporate dependencies across planning, design, development, change management and testing phases, including system, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as well as post go-live support.
- Identify, assess, and track project risks, communicate potential issues, and implement contingency plans.
- Track progress and deliver weekly project status updates to project teams, stakeholders, and steering committee members when applicable.

Mentor project team leads to guarantee project success and support the PMO in adopting and maturing project standards and guidelines across OIT.Apply expertise in agile / traditional project management, organizational development, and change management to lead and implement business technology solutions.Drive organizational change, transformation, and adoption during large technology system and process implementations, helping University partners align people, processes, and technology to achieve business outcomes.Participate in strategy-related activities as part of the PMO, such as roadmap creation, program development / management, and roadmap reporting.Oversee projects within assigned program area(s) ensuring alignment with OIT strategy, development of value measurements, monitoring project progress and cross-program dependencies.Conduct change assessments, stakeholder analysis, readiness evaluations, user adoption measurements through surveys, interviews, and focus groups to assess organizational readiness for process and system changes.Develop and implement change strategies including current and future state documentation, to maximize engagement and adoption.Foster a positive and professional work environment and promote effective teamwork.Competencies :

Work schedule and modality : This position works 35 hours per week Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch break in a hybrid modality with one day a month required to be in the office.After-hours availability : Position requires that occasional duties must be performed outside normal working hours.Essential personnel designation : This position is not required to work during unplanned closures or weather emergencies.Leave blackout period : OIT staff are prohibited from taking non-emergency leave during the three-week period at the start of each semester, this includes the week before the start of the Fall and Spring term and the first two weeks of classes for the Fall and Spring term. Requests for support peak during these times and system availability is also critical, which requires all staff members to be working during these times.Salary Range :
