The Kogod Office of Alumni Relations is responsible for engaging over 28,000 alumni around the world. A big part of this job is keeping track of alumni data (emails, addresses, phone numbers, employment status, etc.). This student Data Specialist position is pivotal in assisting the Alumni Relations staff with inputting this data and updating excel files on a regular basis. This position is paid, and hiring preference is given to students who have strong professional experience and an interest in data analytics.

Summary:
The Kogod Office of Alumni Relations is responsible for engaging over 28,000 alumni around the world. A big part of this job is keeping track of alumni data (emails, addresses, phone numbers, employment status, etc.). This student Data Specialist position is pivotal in assisting the Alumni Relations staff with inputting this data and updating excel files on a regular basis. This position is paid, and hiring preference is given to students who have strong professional experience and an interest in data analytics.
Responsibilities
- Working in various excel files updating data pulled from the LinkedIn platform and from other methods of data collection.
- Willingness to assist in helping to streamline and make suggestions on how to improve efficiency in obtaining and updating data.
- Occasionally reaching out to alumni for data clarification and current contact information.
- Working knowledge of the Kogod Talent Network and assisting alumni to troubleshoot any issues they have joining.
- Assist with the management of the Kogod Volunteer Alumni Network and the data needed to keep members engaged.
- Directly reporting to the Assistant Director, Alumni Relations.
- 5-10 hours per week.
- Non-Exempt.
- Anticipation that the majority of hours will be in person with a chance for hybrid hours to be determined at a later date.
- $18.50 per hour.
- Students pursuing an MBA or MA in Kogod School of Business.
- Exceptional analytical skills and patience to work with a database that is constantly in transition.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Maturity and the ability to be confidential with data collected.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and LinkedIn.
