The Director of Engineering will lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple plant sites, supporting manufacturing, sustainability, automation, process improvement, and operational excellence within the crop protection industry.
This role is accountable for sustaining engineering quality, leveraging engineering best practices, and creating process improvements aligned with the growth of the company and advancement of our product portfolio.
About the Role
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for:
- Sustaining engineering quality and adhering to safety and environmental regulations
- Leveraging engineering best practices and industry standards to drive innovation and optimize resources
- Developing and implementing strategic engineering initiatives to achieve business objectives
- Mentoring and coaching a team of engineers to nurture a culture of responsible safety, operational excellence, and personal accountability
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, R&D, commercial, and regulatory to ensure seamless support for corporate goals and initiatives.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual with:
- 8 years of experience in a management role leading diverse groups of technical resources
- 5 years of experience in a Chemical Process manufacturing environment
- Five (5) years developing and driving strategic engineering initiatives successfully
- Experience in the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Proven technical capability utilizing engineering best practices and industry standards
- Excellent skills in leadership, program/project management, effective delegation, and budget management
- Exceptional problem-solving skills; Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and team-oriented environment
