Director of Engineering
Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple plant sites to support manufacturing, sustainability, automation, process improvement, and operational excellence in the crop protection industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustain engineering quality and leverage best practices.
- Create process improvements aligned with company growth and product portfolio advancement.
Leadership Excellence:
Set vision, strategic plan, and ensure execution in all aspects of manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement to achieve annual organizational goals.
- Lead and coach a team of engineers and related personnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless support of corporate goals and initiatives.
Continuous Improvement Process:
Establish a culture of continuous improvement with the engineering team and across manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and implement operational excellence strategies and roadmaps.
- Identify, plan, and implement process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement technical strategies that drive innovation and optimize resources.
- Coordinate and participate in long-range plant infrastructure improvement and expansion planning.
- Prepare annual capital budgets and maintain conformance to those budgetary limits.
People Development:
Mentor and coach the team to nurture a culture of responsible safety, operational excellence, and personal accountability.
- Build teams and unlock individual potential.
- Attract, develop, and retain personnel aligned with company values and principles.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field - Required
- Master's degree preferred from an accredited institution
Experience Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in a management role leading diverse groups of technical resources
- 5 years management experience in a Chemical Process manufacturing environment
- Five (5) years developing and driving strategic engineering initiatives successfully
- Experience in the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is required
