Maintenance & Reliability Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to manage and coordinate activities involved in the maintenance and operation of our 24 x 7 chemical manufacturing sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, measuring, and improving the performance of process equipment and systems. They will provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating equipment reliability and design improvement to meet its intended or existing service conditions. Additionally, they will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a life cycle asset management process for components, equipment, and processes at all facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine & Process Equipment Performance - Monitor, measure, and improve the performance of process equipment and systems.
System Improvement - Manage performance metrics to ensure programs are being adequately executed.
Team Collaboration - Work with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of production and maintenance managers, process and project engineers, supervisors, operators, and craftsmen. Provide daily technical support for maintenance and operations staff as needed.
Documentation - Develop standards and procedures as business and customer needs evolve.
Continuous Improvement - Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend tuning improvements. Participate in annual and long-term reliability and capital planning.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from an accredited institution REQUIRED with a degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment as a maintenance and reliability engineer
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and experience participating in Mechanical integrity program is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
Familiarity with ASME codes and standards.
Experience with an enterprise asset management system is preferred.
Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement methodology experience is preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and work on-site.
Must pass post-offer drug test, background check, and other appropriate tests as required.
This position requires up to 25% travel within North America.
