Primary Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the duties necessary to maintain and ensure reliable operation of the treatment facility as directed by the immediate supervisor. This will include but not limited to SCADA operational monitoring, Water Quality testing knowledge, monitoring and inspecting facilities at the plant, distribution and raw water building, light cleaning as assigned and other duties as directed. #LI-LS1 _
Work Schedule
Normal hours of work will be rotations of 8 hour shifts; Will work days / afternoons and evenings. Days off will vary and will work on weekends. _
Knowledge / Skills
Strong work ethic, time management and organizational and team membership skills.
Ability to communicate well and to work with minimal supervision.
Good mechanical skills.
Ability to start up, shut down, and make operating adjustments to all equipment for proper continued operation.
Ability to walk and / or stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and / or carry up to 75 lbs.
Basic computer data entry skills required. _
Certifications / Licenses
All new regular full-time employees will obtain a 'Class C" Public Water Supply Certificate from the IEPA within two (2) years of date of hire.
Within four (4) years a "Class A" certificate must be obtained.
Valid drivers license required with the ability to pass a background check. _
