The Data Center Sales Specialist focuses on identifying and securing new business opportunities, building relationships with consulting engineers, OEMs, end-users, and mechanical contractors and presenting solutions for data center infrastructure, services, and technology needs. This role works in tandem with the established territory representatives to deliver project opportunities to our current customer base. This role will target system design engineers, specifying engineers and asset owners to better understand the market, present American Wheatley product solutions and support our customer base from proposal to delivery.

Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively seeks out and pursues new clients and opportunities within the data center space.
- Develops and implements strategies to generate leads and build a pipeline of potential customers.
- Builds strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and challenges.
- Provides ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
- Presents data center solutions, including hardware, software, services, and infrastructure, tailored to client needs.
- Demonstrates the value proposition of the solutions and how they address client challenges.
- Collaborates with internal teams, including technical specialists, engineers, and product managers, to develop and deliver solutions.
- Works closely with sales managers and other sales professionals to achieve sales targets.
- Maintains a strong understanding of the data center industry, technologies, and trends.
- Keeps abreast of competitor offerings and market dynamics.

Education, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Can be substituted with 4 additional years of experience in Data Center or Systems Integration field
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the data center sector, HVAC, or related industries.
- Deep understanding of mission-critical infrastructure and HVAC solutions for data centers.
- Established network and relationships with General Contractors, End Users, and Engineers of Record in the data center industry
- Ability to travel as required to engage with clients, attend industry events, and drive business development.
