Summary
The Purchasing Clerk initiates, prepares, processes, and verifies purchase orders following established guidelines to purchase materials and goods by required delivery dates. This role will help to clarify needs, evaluate and assist with determining suppliers, generate and place orders, and work closely with the engineering and production teams. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Specialist, the Purchasing Clerk expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements.

- Provides administrative and clerical support to the Purchasing Department
- Process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, deadlines and expectations
- Maintains a recordkeeping system for the purchasing department
- Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels
- Track orders and ensuring timely delivery
- Ensure that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions
- Expedite and assist with the troubleshooting of orders as needed.

Education, Experience & Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of purchasing experience required.
- At least two years of clerical experience preferred.
