Inside Sales Representative – Medium Voltage Cable
Scope: Inside sales role supporting the sales rep network and regional sales managers to develop and maintain the medium voltage (MV) segment sales. Position reports to VP- Sales & Marketing (VP).
Responsibilities include:
- Be the focal person for the Medium Voltage product segment working with manufacturer sales representatives (sales reps), supporting, training, and assisting them in developing sales.
- Ongoing communication with our sales reps through, but not limited to, direct phone calls to promote the MV segment.
- Use the CRM and record activities and provide reporting to management on progress
- Develop strong relationships with our sales reps, sales managers, and electrical distributers.
- Develop requested quotations using CRM within guidelines set by VP to meet profitability and volume goals.
- Report competitive pricing levels and market information to VP.
- Customer service including order status, quote follow up, inventory checks, respond to customer inquiries, etc.
- Assist Sales Managers in support of quotations and customer service.
- Support sales managers to Identify key customers / projects
- Manage stocking levels and work with Purchasing to insure a stable inventory.
- Measure and report inventory status to VP on a weekly basis.
- Occasional travel with Regional Managers to promote MV segment
Qualifications
- Superior organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Team members.
- Effective communication, negotiation, customer service and relationship skills.
- Experienced in EXCEL to develop data reports and quotations.
- Fundamental understanding of sales skills and techniques
- Goal and Detail oriented.
