2nd Shift - Industrial Maintenance Technician
American Wood Fibers (AWF) is a manufacturer of both consumer and industrial products that are sold to multiple manufacturers as well as pet, agricultural, and home-heating markets. AWF is comprised of 450 employees and holds operations at 11 locations, generating over $100M in annual sales revenue. We are currently seeking a candidate for the 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician role in our Lebanon, KY facility.
JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Maintenance Technician will operate in a safe and efficient manner of troubleshooting and repairing equipment and machinery. The primary duties include:
- Adjusting, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing balers as well as other industrial machinery
- Adjusting, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing mobile equipment
- Completing general maintenance throughout the facility
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
- Repair production equipment as needed
- Perform mechanical work including: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs
- Ensure safe work practices, follow safety procedures, and complete required safety forms, checklists, and permits
- Conduct preventative and general maintenance of building and equipment
- Maintain good industrial housekeeping at workstation and other work areas
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of HS diploma
- 2 years of related experience in industrial maintenance OR Trade/technical school w/ electrical or mechanical focus
- Mechanical and machinery background with exposure to high-speed equipment
- Electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics knowledge
- Basic welding experience
- PLC troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics
- Must have personal set of basic tools & be able to work outside when necessary
- Ability to work independently
COMPENSATION
$24.00 to $28.00 per hour
