2025 Reinsurance Reporting Intern

AmericanAg®, a global provider of diversified reinsurance services, is looking for a Reinsurance Reporting Intern to join our Farm Bureau® Client Relations team this summer in our office in Schaumburg, Illinois.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the reinsurance industry and contribute to meaningful projects. We are looking for students who are between their junior and senior years of college with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and interested in developing an understanding of reinsurance programs.

The Reinsurance Reporting Intern Will Be Responsible For

• Assisting Account Executives with client work and internal projects, particularly focusing on the post reinsurance renewal process
• Demonstrating proactive problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and critical thinking to identify opportunities to simplify and automate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
• Collaborating effectively across departments to ensure seamless client support and improve workflows and dataflow
• Preparing business review materials by running reports, analyzing data, and assembling presentations
• Creating client materials, including reinsurance renewals, presentations, and marketing materials
• Assisting Account Managers in monitoring open work, timelines, and deliverables to clients
• Exhibiting strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with internal teams
  
  

What You Will Bring To This Position

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a well-organized manner
• Insurance knowledge or currently pursuing a degree in Insurance, Business, or a related field (preferred)

• Competitive pay of $27.00 per hour, based on a 37.5-hour work week
• Flexible work schedule with the option to work 8.33 hours per day for nine days and have the tenth day off (every other Friday)
