AmeriCare Medical is currently searching for a full time or part time Intake and Scheduling Coordinator to provide the day-to-day coordination and scheduling of field staff (Caregivers, RN’s, LPN’s, etc.) and processing the authorizations and intake of patient referrals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Intake Duties:
- Obtain initial service authorizations and perform intake of patient referrals
- Complete initial documentation on new admissions and establish patient clinical records
- Complete and manage all supporting documentation required for billing
- Address patient and family concerns in a supportive and informed manner
Scheduling Duties:
- Schedule patient cases with appropriate field staff making calls necessary to produce an effective, smooth flowing schedule to maintain continuity of care
- Update field staff on each client case as patient information becomes available
- Operate as part of the scheduling team; effectively communicate and document all appropriate conversations and events in the Alayacare system
- Perform on-call, after-hours coordinator duties as assigned by scheduling open shifts with appropriate field staff and follow-up calls necessary to produce an effective work schedule (additional compensation paid)
- Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be available for on-call duties after normal work hours (additional compensation paid)
- Knowledge of scheduling and processing of initial service authorizations and patient referrals
- High School diploma required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of medical field experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills required
- MS Office Suite knowledge required
- Alayacare software experience a plus
