Your Role as a Dietary Services Aide
We are looking for a dedicated Dietary Services Aide to join our team and assist in preparing and serving food to residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a skilled nursing setting. This role ensures accurate meal service according to specific diets and helps maintain a clean and safe working environment.

This job operates in a professional kitchen setting, utilizing stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, coolers, and other equipment. The environment includes indoor settings with adequate lighting and ventilation.

Your Role as a Dietary Services Aide
We are looking for a dedicated Dietary Services Aide to join our team and assist in preparing and serving food to residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a skilled nursing setting. This role ensures accurate meal service according to specific diets and helps maintain a clean and safe working environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in food preparation for residents, visitors, and staff, including special activities.
- Attend and serve food during in-service or staff meetings as requested.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining sanitary conditions.
- Set and clear tables before and after meals.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, following health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to the Americare Mission/Vision, Home Town Hospitality, and F.A.M.I.L.Y. values.
- Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequently.
- Lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.; pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to reach, balance, kneel, stoop, and bend.
- Follow safety policies, including the use of carts for moving items.
- Wear skid-resistant, supportive shoes to prevent slips and falls.
- Utilize protective hand equipment when handling knives, sharp objects, and hot surfaces.
- Use PPE such as gloves, hairnets, and beard guards when handling food.
- Report all work-related injuries within 12 hours and participate in required documentation.
- Participation in company drug testing procedures.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers.
- Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal regulations.
- Ability to follow supervisor’s instructions in a safe and efficient manner.
