Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The medical lab technician will fill the role as the testing personnel of a highly complex laboratory for Arizona Rehab Campus. It is the responsibility of the testing personnel to meet the stated requirements of the CLIA regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma Required. Associate’s degree in laboratory science with at least two years’ experience in a high complexity laboratory preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a high complexity lab preferred.
Additional Requirements:
CPR, Handle with Care, Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and Current TB testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The employee will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the laboratory under the supervision of the technical consultant or laboratory director.
- Monitor the daily performance of the laboratory through the stated quality control and quality assurance programs of the laboratory.
- Perform and ensure that all corrective or remedial action taken if the laboratory control deviates from the laboratory’s stated quality control policy before any patients test results are reported.
- Responsible for the sample collection and patient identification.
- Perform and evaluate all patient and quality control testing.
- To document and perform the monthly reviewed of the laboratory test systems as established in the quality assurance policy.
- The employee maybe delegated other responsibilities upon request of the laboratory director, technical consultant or CNO depending on the situation.
