Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Perform repairs and maintenance on building systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Execute residential painting tasks as required
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and logic controllers for troubleshooting equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs and installations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and address any facility-related concerns
- Provide leadership in maintenance projects, guiding less experienced staff when necessary
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems
- Familiarity with using tools such as ohmmeters and logic controllers
- Experience in residential painting is preferred
- Ability to read and understand schematics for effective repairs
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and team members
- Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory
- Strong leadership abilities to manage projects and mentor junior staff
