Part-Time Internship: Community Brand Ambassador
Americo Life is the proud owner of a majority of the properties in Downtown North Kansas City. As the leader in the Northtown redevelopment, Americo is in pursuit of a high-energy and social college student who is energized by event planning and coordination, community outreach, and being part of a team that is transforming an entire neighborhood. This is a paid part-time position during the 2024-2025 academic school year, with an opportunity to work full time during the school year.
Tasks:
- Envisioning, planning, and executing community events in the Downtown area (concerts, markets, food trucks, street music, etc.)
- Coordinating event funding and execution with the city leaders, local businesses, and vendors.
- Maintain a social media presence for the community. Generate content and encourage local businesses and visitors to tag the accounts.
- Work with the team and marketing vendors on all marketing initiatives for the community and branding.
- Work with the team on creating unique experiences within the Downtown.

Requirements:
- Must be currently pursuing, or recently have completed, a degree and remain fully enrolled in the program during the internship.
- Freshman through Senior standing in a four-year institution pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
- Able to work part-time hours during 2024-2025 academic year
- Flexibility to support after-hours/special events.
*Note: This is an onsite internship. Consequently, you must be in the Kansas City area to be considered.
