Americo is looking for an Accounting/Reporting Monitoring Representative within our Business and Implementation Support Department.
Job Description:
The Monitoring Representative position monitors the accuracy of system cycles, completes business control functions, provides customer service for all internal partners, and performs General Ledger and system reconciliations. This position is responsible for the preparation or journal accounting entries and assists in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Financial Reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitoring accuracy of system cycles and perform Operations financial control functions
- Preparation of journal accounting entries and balancing of outgoing bank files
- Perform reconciliations of the General Ledger, vendor reporting and systems
- Provide customer service and attend inquiries from internal partners, external clients, and vendors
- Research, troubleshooting, trace, and correct faults in the Ledger
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong organization and time management skills, capacity to consistently meet deadlines, ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality work. Confident and supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills. Active communicator with good listening skills, results-oriented, ability to deliver solutions to time-sensitive situations.
- Ability to complete assigned processes and tasks within Job Model expectations. Attentive to details and good problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, take initiative to uncover, resolve issues, and recognize upstream and downstream impact of assigned processes.
- Exhibit mastery and the capacity to train peers on 90% of critical processes bank file transmissions and 80% of Level I processes
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and good understanding of the Insurance industry.
- Previous bank industry knowledge
