Job Summary
The purpose of the Policyholder Services Representative II is to process maintenance, change requests, and status updates for in-force policies within multiple administrative systems in accordance with State and Federal guidelines. All processors are responsible for processing requests within the standard service level agreement and producing output accurately. Our ideal candidate can complete more complex financial and non-financial requests within Life and Annuity products. A Policyholder Service Rep II may also train others, seek additional knowledge, correct errors, troubleshoot problems, update policies, and process additional duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Process an acceptable volume of in-force policy requests and prepare written correspondence to policy owners and agents with a high degree of accuracy.
- Handle special projects as assigned, participate in meetings, and follow up as needed.
- Research problem situations to correct user or system errors in support of clients and other business units
- Create disbursements and financial transactions in accordance with policy processing guidelines.
- Meet all service level agreements on processing requests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of life insurance and annuity product fundamentals
- Knowledge of the insurance industry as a whole
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must have exceptional professional communication skills, both in writing and verbally
- Ability to work well with others at various levels within the organization
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to recognize and analyze problems and determine the course of action to resolve the problem
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other systems needed
Education
College degree, preferred
