Sales Financial Analyst
Job Summary:
Americo is hiring a Sales Financial Analyst to join our Marketing division. This individual will analyze the quality of the business being submitted to Americo at the agent, agency, and IMO level. They will identify trends and patterns for both good and bad quality business. This can be related to, but not limited to, persistency, placement, mortality, and sales practices. They will also spend time taking a leading role in the analysis and development of plans to improve quality. These plans will be in coordination with the manager of sales quality, Account Executives, Actuarial, and Sales and Marketing leadership.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Continually review production, persistency, placement, mortality, contest and other metrics to identify agents, agencies and IMOS that are not selling Americo’s products in a way that are financially in line with Americo’s expectations. Also, identify agents, agencies and IMOS that are selling Americo’s products in a way that are above Americo’s expectations
- Create new reports and reporting metrics to identify agents, agencies, sales tactics, products and IMOs that are performing or not performing at the levels expected by Americo pricing
- Make impartial recommendations to sales and marketing team and executives on what needs to be done to improve overall business quality
- Assist with financial evaluation of new and on-going agent, agency and IMO contest.
- Assist with financial evaluation of special projects as needed(product, process, etc.)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the life insurance and annuity industry
- Proficiency with MS Office to chart, analyze, and document processes and business requirements (such as Excel, Word, Visio, etc)
- Strong leadership, facilitation, presentation skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, time management, and task management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) and build trusting relationships with associates at all levels of the organization
