Job Overview: The Telecommunications Technician will be in charge of keeping systems updated and running smoothly, including new installations and ongoing support.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including door access control, video surveillance, data/fiber optic cabling, and business phone systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine system requirements and installation specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations during all installation and maintenance activities.
- Provide training and support to end-users on system functionality and operation.
- Pull, terminate, and install low-voltage cabling.
- Responsible for installation, programming, and maintenance of High Definition IP surveillance video systems, Access Control Systems, and system components. Service of these systems requires TCP/IP networking knowledge, server/ PC knowledge, infrastructure installation, and database programming in a Windows Explorer interface.
