What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Relations Communications Intern position at AmeriCorps Office of Inspector General?
The Communications Intern will undertake a variety of work assignments while assigned to the Office of Inspector General. This role will include the opportunity to help shape and grow the brand and presence of the OIG with external stakeholders and the OIG community, engage in content creation and curation, and think creatively about building connection across groups.
Responsibilities:
• Strategically shaping and growing the brand and presence of the OIG with external stakeholders and the OIG community through print, social media, and email communications;
• Assisting in planning, writing, and managing OIG newsletters, advisories, and other publications;
• Designing fliers, graphics, and outreach and engagement materials;
• Supporting content creation and curation across communications and social media channels;
• Coordinating with OIG Senior Leaders on the OIG’s messaging and communications strategies; and,
• Creating engaging, informative content, as needed.

• Selective Service Registration- required for males (over 18) born after 12/31/1959.
• Satisfactory completion of a background investigation.
• Transcripts are required for all applicants.
• Must be currently enrolled in a qualified educational institution and must have substantially completed one academic year of college.
• Only education from institutions that are accredited or pre-accredited/candidate for accreditation may be used to meet education requirements. Students must meet eligibility requirements throughout the duration of their appointment.
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0
