Members have the opportunity to earn an education award for their commitment. This award may be used for tuition, student loans, or other costs associated with post-secondary education. Depending on your degree program, you may also be eligible to earn internship credits while serving in this role. Gain valuable experience working for the city, in local high school classrooms. This role is for the 2025-2026 school year and summer (August 2025 - July 2026)
NATURE OF WORK:
- Provide in-school and after-school tutoring, specializing in math and reading
- Provide mentoring and support services in Orlando area public high schools
- Assist students with course recovery, post-secondary planning, and job readiness
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school graduate with some post-secondary education
- Florida driver's license (Currently possess or intend to possess)
- No work authorization is available
PROGRAM INFORMATION:
- Program end date: Summer 2025
- Required work hours: 35 hrs./week
- Compensation: $1,110 bi-weekly, pre-tax
