Contract Duration: 6-10 weeks (300 hours)
Start Date: June/July 2025
End Date: August 2025
Responsibilities: As a Summer Youth Program Educator with AmeriCorps, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young individuals. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Youth Fitness and Nutrition Education:
- Design and deliver engaging fitness and nutrition sessions for youth participants.
- Foster healthy habits and promote physical well-being.
- Youth Mentoring:
- Build positive relationships with program participants.
- Serve as a mentor, providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
- Child Safety:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children attending the summer camp or program.
- Implement safety protocols and respond to emergencies effectively.
Compensation:
- Living Wage: $4,661 for the duration of the contract.
- Educational Award: Upon successful completion of the contract, you will receive an educational award of $1,565.08
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with youth and promoting their holistic development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in fitness, nutrition, or youth education is a plus.
