Greater Cleveland FB-Volunteer Experience Coordinator
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. We do this through both food distribution and SNAP outreach efforts. The Food Bank operates a community food distribution center, providing food and other critical grocery products to nearly 1,000 local food pantries, hot meal programs, shelters, mobile pantries, programs for the elderly, and other nonprofit agencies. We also prepare nutritious meals in our Food Bank Kitchen and take hundreds of calls each day in our Help Center, where we refer low-income callers to local agencies assist with the application process for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and other assistance programs.
Member Duties : As the Volunteer Experience VISTA member, you will play a critical role exploring new and better ways to engage and rally our community to our mission. Evaluating current volunteer roles and needs across our two facilities (and preparing for a third), you will develop new volunteer positions, promoting and recruiting for both traditional and skills-based opportunities. By employing strategic volunteer retention and recognition measures, you will fortify the cohesion of our Volunteer Experience program, fostering meaningful and long-term engagement.
