For 18 years Piece by Piece has been empowering individuals who have experienced homelessness and economic hardship in and around LA’s Skid Row and South Los Angeles neighborhoods. By providing free workshops in mosaic arts Piece by Piece has created an environment of learning through the healing practice of the creative arts that enables participants to gain confidence, engage in social interaction, participate in a community of support, partake in the potential to earn income, and most importantly, to achieve improved sense of well-being and a more stable financial footing.
Member Duties : The Outreach Coordinator will enhance Piece by Piece's community engagement by establishing partnerships with local nonprofits, housing developers, and case workers to recruit new participants. This role involves strategically identifying and aligning with organizations that share similar demographics and missions—refining our existing CRM to create an organizational database and compiling a comprehensive list of referral organizations to expand our network. The coordinator will also develop and implement outreach procedures alongside a detailed three-year plan, including events, community fairs, and personalized recruitment efforts to meet our objectives. Furthermore, creating professional communication tools is essential to ensure new participants receive a warm welcome and access to the resources needed for success at Piece by Piece. This role demands a strategic, professional approach to building relationships and fostering community connections to support our growth and mission.
