What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telemedicine Community Connector position at AmeriCorps?
The National Network of Public Health Institute Public Health (NNPHI) AmeriCorps Program is recruiting members for service positions that will strengthen local community resiliency and adaptation efforts to address the impacts of community well-being. NNPHI Public Health AmeriCorps Program has partnered with the Puerto Rico Public Health Trust (PRPHT) to implement local extreme weather advocacy and community resiliency projects in Puerto Rico and the surrounding jurisdictions. The PRPHT is a program of the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust (PRSTRT), a private nonprofit organization created in 2004 to encourage and promote innovation, transfer, and commercialization of technology and the creation of jobs in the technology sector. We contribute to Puerto Rico’s public policy for science, technology, research, and development. The Trust’s mission is to invest, facilitate and build capacity to continually advance Puerto Rico's economy and its citizens’ well-being through innovation-driven enterprises, science and technology, and its industrial base. Our vision is that Puerto Rico is a global innovation hub that develops, attracts, and retains scientists, technology entrepreneurs, and enterprises to unlock world-class creativity and competitiveness. In 2017, PRSTRT was designated as a public health institute, and the PRPHT program was created to fulfill this responsibility. The goal of the PRPHT is to provide the leading strategy, leadership, and innovative development for Puerto Rico’s population health initiatives. PRPHT’s vision is to achieve sustainable community well-being and improve the quality of life for Puerto Rico communities
