Pay Range: $19.31/hour to $24.14/hour - actual starting rate will depend on experience
Position is incentive & bonus eligible
Remote Status - Required to be onsite, with possible Hybrid capability

The Position:
AmeriCU Credit Union is in search of an Insurance Coordinator who aligns directly with our mission to provide our members with the right financial services to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success, the insurance coordinator will service and support the full range of insurance products/services and operations for new and existing accounts through personal interviews, telephone conversations or written correspondence.
What You’ll Do:
As an Insurance Coordinator your primary responsibilities will be able to:
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of organization procedures, systems and required documentation. Perform transactions, such as telephone inquiries, appointment scheduling, information gathering, data entry, filing, and other various administrative tasks.
- Gather information from insurance clients, explain and advise clients on insurance coverage and cross-sell policies and other AmeriCU services. Initiate service calls in person or via phone and follows through on customer questions, complaints, or requests for information.
- Prepare, process, review and monitor various documents such as premiums, coverage of risk, policies, renewals, claims, applications, changes, endorsements, binders, etc. to ensure completeness and accuracy of information contained on all forms prior to submission for processing. Process endorsement and download follow up. Create certificates, ID cards and binders as needed. Follow up on open underwriting or claim issues.
- Process and sort all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Become proficient in agency management software (AMS 360).
- Perform in a professional and organized manner to prevent errors and omissions.
- Complete all training designed to enhance capabilities and as required by State licensing laws. Attend seminars or other educational opportunities as required to remain up to date on the latest developments, trends and regulations in the marketplace.
- Work with Investment Coordinator to cross train and assist as needed in admin tasks.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
