Impound Representative

ACERTUS is the only tech-enabled automotive logistics company to move, store, recondition, title & register finished vehicles. As an Impound Representative, you will be responsible for the timely and effective placement of impound repossession assignments. This position will serve as a point of contact in maintaining vendor relationships, including assignment follow up, fee authorizations, and invoice approvals, contacting holding facility for impound details, and dispatching to the appropriate repossession agents.

This position will work closely with external repo vendors, as well as internal departments as both a service-provider and service-recipient. The successful candidate should be self-directed in work prioritization, be able to work seamlessly between and among several databases and should be able to demonstrate good decision-making ability within the scope of the position’s areas of responsibility. The Impound Representative will perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Pay: $19 - $22/hr. Based on Experience

What you will be doing:

• Review impound accounts for pick up / opposition.
• Authorize / track lien opposition for resolution.
• Prevent lapses and clear up inconsistencies in agent updates.
• Maintain effective communication with repossession agents.
• Process vehicle releases and extensions related to approved reinstatements.
• Initiate contact with agents for vehicle location and release dates.
• Responsible for maintenance of accurate and up to date information in the impound account file.
• Responsible for proper and timely completion of all paperwork related to the repossession process.
• Fill out check requests and ensure agents receive funds for pay-outs.
• Contact lien holders and get approval for impound fees.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

What are we looking for?

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to understand and interpret state-specific laws on third-party liens for storage and repairs.
• Strong organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize work according to deadlines and client expectations.
• Good Oral and written communication skills.
• PC Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Personal responsibility to manage change.
• Comfortable with being on the phone in escalated situations.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
