What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed Federal Security Office position at AmeriGuard Security?
Here at AmeriGuard Security we are looking for Armed Federal Security Officer. This position is responsible for deterring criminal activity by adhering to a facility’s security measures. Their duties include reviewing video surveillance equipment to identify odd behaviors, patrolling the interior and exterior of a property in set intervals and only providing property access to authorized individuals.

Armed Security:
A successful as an armed security officer, you should be able to exercise discretion regarding the use of your weapon. Ultimately, the outstanding armed security officers will seek to expand their self-defense and weapons training beyond the mandatory level.
- Protecting locations from harassment, physical attack, vandalism, and other forms of abusive or unauthorized treatment.
- Ensuring that your weapon is well always maintained and secure.
- Utilizing your weapon in times of extreme attack, when non-violent options have been exhausted.
- Recording the details of each person who visits the facility, if applicable.
- Completing and submitting incident reports after noteworthy developments.
Requirements:
MUST meet the following requirements:
- Two years of Unarmed security experience within the last five years or One years of Armed security experience within the last five years or two years of Military experience or two years Law enforcement or Completion of state certified Law Enforcement Education and Training or Police Officer's standard Training Course.
- Must be able to pass Government background and receive a clearance MBI.
- Must be able to pass a physical agility test.
- Must be able to pass a course of fire on the range with a 9mm.
- Must have or be able to obtain First aid & CPR AED (provided during training)
- Must have or be able to obtain OC Spray Caspsicum Oleoresin (provided during training)
- Other training requirements may apply to the security positions posted in Durham North Carolina such as NCPPSB.
Salary:
- $25.95 Per Hour Plus Health & Welfare at $5.65ph (Health Insurance or 401-K) Plus $1.40ph into a pension.
Required education:
- High school or equivalent
Required experience:
- Duties shall include control center operations, telephone and radio communications, report writing, dispatching, servicing, tracking, and maintaining the status of responding ASOs.
